Mayor Rudolph Giuliani was so upset by a Continental Airlines ad campaign that sought to lure travelers away fro New York City airports to Newark, New Jersey, that he threatened a boycott. Continental suspended the campaign, which featured a radio spot mimicking a courtesy announcement: "Welcome to New York. Now get out."
