Get-Out-of-Jail Fax

A phony fax sent from a Georgia supermarket to South Carolina sheriff's office freed a man facing assault charges. A warrant check on Richard Foster, 23, brought back a blurry fax saying Georgia police - who wanted Foster in connection with a nightclub confrontation - were not seeking him. After Foster was freed, a jailer spotted a Kroger supermarket imprint at the top of the fax.
