Desertion Charged

The Marine Corps announced it will prosecute Randy Caudill, a 1966 enlistee who went AWOL rather than go to Vietnam. Caudill, 48, was arrested in Washington state on 9 September after he strayed across the US border while on vacation from his home in Winnipeg. He will face charges of desertion.
