Markets were unperturbed on triple-witching Friday - a day when index futures and option-trading deadlines create remarkably heavy volume and, occasionally, big price swings. In early-afternoon trading, the Dow was nearly unchanged at 7923; the Nasdaq was up 6 to 1676.
