Vietnam inspectors plan to continue their crackdown on restaurants selling feline feasts as part of Hanoi's cat-breeding campaign to add 24,000 felines to the battle against rodent infestation. The new campaign will supplement Hanoi's efforts to poison the rodents and its cash-for-rodent program, which offers farmers two US cents for every dead rat they produce. Last year, authorities spent US$100,000 on five metric tons of poison to kill 17 million rats.
