Austrian snowboarder Martin Freinademetz has been booted from the Olympics by his own team following a wild hotel party that damaged a switchboard. Freinademetz, who finished seventh in the men's giant slalom, will lose his Olympic accreditation, meaning he's essentially locked out of the Olympic village. Freinademetz offered to pay for the damages, which include a US$4,000 computerized switchboard, broken by a thrown beer can that spilled onto the system; broken coffee cups; and tabletops vandalized with a felt-tip pen.
