Indonesia's billionaire president and his new 36-minister Cabinet, in a bid to counter charges of high-level corrpution, pledge that they will donate one year's salary to the poor. Suharto's spokesman didn't say how much would be collected for the fund, although each minister gets about US$4,800 a year, and Suharto himself is said to receive several times as much.
