Canada's Chretien arrived in Havana over the weekend, and Castro is using the state visit to blast the United States for its economic isolation of his country. "No state should think it has the right to kill another people by hunger and sickness," Castro said. "That is genocide. It is converting a nation into a ghetto and applying a new version of the Holocaust." Chretien supports engagement with Cuba: Canada is a big investor in the country, and is second only to Italy as a tourist market.
