Fires in Central America and Mexico continue to generate a smoke screen that has forced the closing of Augusto Cesar Sandino International Airport in Managua, Nicaragua for the third day in a row.Farmers clearing fields devastated by El Niño-produced drought conditions. Airports throughout the area have been closed and the smoke has reached as far as Texas.
