Art Asunder

The heated public debate in Sweden over whether photographs of naked teenage boys should be banished as kiddie porn or displayed as art has been dramatically terminated. A gang of youths, described as "well-dressed," sneaked past the guards at Stockholm's Historical Museum today and ripped up the 10 photos, leaving behind a leaflet which read: "In defense of culture." The museum said it won't reproduce the photos. The work of Donald Mader, an American who lives in the Netherlands, was set to come down 12 July.
