Stocks ended mixed as investors shifted out of safe-haven blue chips and bid up some of the battered technology shares. The Nasdaq rebounded from Monday's 32-point drop to close up 14.97 points to 1761.79, a 0.86 percent increase. The Dow dove early, evened out by noon but took another dive later in the day, finishing down 31.13 points to 8891.24, a 0.35 percent loss.
