Murdoch Sells TV Guide

United Video Satellite Group, owner of the Preview Channel, will pay US$2 billion for the News Corp. property, the bestselling magazine in the United States. United Video, which is controlled by John Malone's Tele-Communications Inc., will use the TV Guide name in its on-screen listings, the Associated Press reported. News Corp. will receive $800 million cash in the deal, announced this morning, and $1.2 billion in United Video stock.
