New Gaming Hub

Bignetwork offers something for the gamer in everyone, from puzzles and trivia to shoot 'em ups.

Before violent fragfests captured the pimply male game market, there was something for everyone: puzzles, card games, trivia and board games. Now, the folks behind the new Bignetwork gaming site hope that mom, dad, sis, and, yes, even shoot-em-up freaks will unite at their expansive new gaming hub.

Founded by the developers of the online multiplayer gaming world "Meridian 59" and children's favorite "Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego?" Bignetwork offers Web-based games, including classic arcade games, multiplayer board and card games, trivia games, sports games, and gameshows in which players compete for prizes.

Before sampling all this fun, however, players must first register online by completing a demographic profile, and download and install a 350K proprietary client to support multiplayer capabilities. The real challenge for Bignetwork: Now that they've built it, will gamers come?
