Former movie tough-guy Joe Estrada was sworn in today for a six-year term as president of the Philippines, seven weeks after his enomorous electoral victory. In his inaugural address, Estrada explained his thinking behind his decision to allow former dictator Ferdinand Marcos to be buried at a cemetery for the country's heroes -- a decision he reversed following a firestorm of criticism -- saying he had been anxious to "put yesterday behind us so we can work for a brighter tomorrow."
