Sensory Overload

The average office worker is bombarded by 169 telephone, email, voicemail, snail mail, and other communications every business day, claims a survey published Monday. The survey of thousands of workers in the US, Britain, and Canada was conducted by the Pitney Bowes office equipment company and a California think tank, Institute for the Future. The survey showed that more than a third of execs described themselves as "overwhelmed" by the number of messages they received.
