Scientists at Reading University in southern England are recommending that the British Defense Ministry consider using pheasant feathers - instead of Kevlar -- in bulletproof vests. Researchers say feathers provide a natural body armor, as soft as foam and as strong as fingernails. Tell that to the pheasants when hunting season rolls around.
