NBC nabbed 86 Emmy nominations today, becoming the top-honored network this year and giving the networks a boost after cable network HBO won the most nominations in 1997. ER and The X-Files were the most-nominated shows, with 16 nods apiece, while Ally McBeal broke into the ranks of top TV comedy shows with 10 nominations.
