Boosting Billy

The first polls taken in the wake of Clinton's testimony are in, and the numbers are interesting. While Americans overwhelmingly believe that Clinton lied under oath about his sexual relationship with Monica Lewinsky (81 percent think he did), only 40 percent of those believing it think he should be impeached. Thirty-nine percent of all Americans think the president should resign, but nearly half (49 percent) think he's trustworthy enough to finish out his term. But the big number -- the one presidents and their handlers fear above all else -- is in Clinton's favor. His overall approval rating stands at 66 percent. That's huge, all things considered.
