US stocks were mixed in late Friday trading as better-than-expected earnings from tech bellwethers offset concerns about slowing earnings growth elsewhere. The Dow was up 42.48 at 7658.02, the Nasdaq was up 33.14 at 1618.47, and the Wired Index gained 3.35 to 369.30.
