US stocks were mixed in late morning trading. Bank shares were down, but computer-related and oil stocks were up. The Dow was down 1.55 at 7680.67, while the Nasdaq was up 3.44 at 1575.30. The Wired Index was up 2.74 at 370.50. Asia: The Nikkei fell 218.33 to 14042.91. The Hang Seng rose 169.88 to 7488.47. Europe: The FTSE 100 gained 29.00 to 5147.70, the German DAX was up 8.07 at 4820.25, and the CAC 40 rose 44.29 to 3690.75.
