Pinochet, Again

Britain's highest court on Thursday ordered a new hearing into whether former Chilean dictator Augusto Pinochet is immune from prosecution, deciding that one of the judges involved in the earlier decision may have been biased because of his close association with the human rights organization Amnesty International. Pinochet is being detained in Britain while Spain seeks his extradition to face charges of murder, torture, and kidnapping of its citizens during his 17-year rule, which ended in 1990.
