Subject: Re: The Delisting of Craig's List
This is the first headline that has made me gasp since Joe Firmage voiced his views on spatial beings ("The Delisting of Craig's List," 1.Oct.99). Since I have been on Craig's List since 1996 I know that there are alternate URLs that I can use. However, re-directing Craig's List fans to Metrovox (a for profit) makes my blood boil. If Nancy Melone started one for Seattle or New York (who are always asking for a version of Craig's List) then it would be useful. But competition against Craig's List? You've got to learn to pick and choose your battles.
