West Is Best

It was an all-star game, and it looked like it. With Tim Duncan O'Neal leading the way, the West outslugged the East, 137-126, in the 49th meeting of the NBA's best. With all of the showboating, it looked more like a pickup game, albeit with some pretty talented gym rats. Duncan and Kevin Garnett led the West with 24 points, and Shaquille O'Neal added 22 to the cause. The game, played in Oakland, was the first in two years. Last year's All-Star tilt was erased by the lockout.
