Police in Washington, D.C., said six children were injured in a shooting Monday at the National Zoo. Two were reported to be 12 years old, one of whom, a boy, was in grave condition at a local hospital with a gunshot wound to the head. Rescue workers said two adults were also taken to the hospital, including a pregnant woman, but neither one suffered any gunshot wounds. Bystanders told local news stations two groups of youths, numbering at least 40, were arguing and brandishing guns before the shooting.
