Until Benjamin Harrison Holcomb turned up in an Oklahoma nursing home, Harry Halford thought he was the oldest man alive. But ol' Ben, at 110, has Harry beat by a clean 23 months, according to the Guinness Book of Records. Holcomb, who was born July 3, 1889, is cared for by three of his five "kids": Lucille, 85, Leona, 84, and baby John, 80. Leona attributes her father's longevity to his refusal to suppress his emotions. "That's why he's lived so long," she said. "He likes to cry."
