I'm writing in response to the article "HDTV's Chicken, Egg Dilemma" (May 17, 2000). What do the networks expect us to do? Buy a $10,000 television so we can watch the worthless tripe they are putting out?
If the price is lowered substantially, I might consider buying a high-definition set. Otherwise, they can keep it.
I get all my news from the Internet anyway and reading a good book keeps me lot more entertained than "Dharma and Greg" and the other garbage the networks regurgitate on a yearly basis.
BTW, life would stink without Wired.
