Regarding your piece ("D.C. Awash in Entertainment Cash," Sept. 6, 2000), you call these contribution levels "significant." Most of these contributions won't even get you a decent table at a fundraiser, much less a blue-chip invite to the inaugural for a picture and a handshake.
Do a similar comparison for realtor or medical association contributions and see how paltry the music industry's check looks. And these guys are sitting around wondering why they're having so much trouble fighting piracy abroad...
