Subject: Oh Yum: There's More Spam

Whoever thinks that spam recipients should send nastygrams exclusively back to the originators of spam has their head up their butt ("Oh Yum: There's More Spam," Oct. 27, 2000). That would be Mr. Ferris.

The only effect that this has is confirming an e-mail address is alive ... to be spammed more and more.

The proper destination for the nastygrams are the spammer's ISP(s),
including mail-host owners, dropbox owners, website owners – hell,
even their domain-registration authority, if they have a domain oftheir own. Anything to ensure they lose service.

Then, and only then, just for fun, to get to listen to spammerssqueal, you might sometimes throw in the spammers' addresses too.
But it gets tiresome after a while. And gets you more spam. Butit is occasionally gratifying when they whine about having beendumped by all of their providers.
