Subject: Exec: Labels to Work With Napster
The music industry has been sticking it to us in the first place. ("Exec: Labels to Work With Napster," Mar. 12, 2001). You can't tell me that it should cost as much as it does to purchase a CD or a cassette tape. It's no wonder these people are making millions of dollars.
The digital age is here, it is going to stay here, so figure out a way to distribute the music through sites like Napster. Work with them. Making Napster a scapegoat will not stop this transfer of music from happening.
