Kamal Shah misplaced his mobile phone last month, so he tried the usual trick: He picked up his regular phone and dialed the number. Imagine his shock when the mobile started ringing -- from inside his German shephard dog, Snoopy. Shah, who lives in Mombasa, Kenya, explained later that he had left the phone on a bedside table and assumed that his young son had taken it. But no. Snoopy got there first, apparently. According to the story in New Scientist, Shah carted Snoopy off to the vet, where the phone was surgically removed. Dog and phone are reported doing fine.
