A Florida woman who found a rare gold coin in a donated golf shoe will get $10,000 for returning it to its owner. Patricia May found the plastic-covered coin three years ago when it fell out of the shoe. She stashed it in a drawer, thinking it was a worthless souvenir. Two weeks ago, she decided to check on its value. May says she almost passed out when a coin collector told her the half-ounce piece from the California Gold Rush was worth $150,000. May says the man who owned the coin had hidden it the shoe but his wife didn't know that when she donated the shoe and other items to the Jaycees. May says the grateful owner also plans to donate $5,000 dollars to the Jaycees.
