Subject: Loopy Ideas Secure Music Rights
What the music industry doesn't understand is that it will never win against people ("Loopy Ideas Secure Music Rights," May 18, 2001). No matter how many plug-ins, patches or encryption methods they use to protect copyrighted music, they will never win, because it is human nature to find a way around things.
Probably within a month of the release of this new software, someone will make a program that will patch all of your MP3 files so that when you play them it will look like they're the official MP3s or something.
