Subject: Commercials: Out of the Closet

Having seen the commercial, I can understand why some would think Popeye & Bluto are being portrayed as gay in that commercial. ("Commercials: Out of the Closet," May 8, 2001) I mean, after all, how many straight guys would go hang out with their friends, get tattoos together, and pass up a prime piece of womanhood like Olive?

Has it occurred to anyone that the idea was to show these two mortalenemies as close friends instead?

On the other hand, I really can't remember the last time any of my male friends pushed me on a swing... ok maybe they are struggling with their sexuality...
