Thank you so much for being a media outlet that supports the true meaning of the term 'hacker' ("Documentary: Hackers Are Kewl," July 25, 2001). I am so proud to see that, and have enjoyed seeing that over the five years or so that I have been reading Wired.com. It seems that the Discovery Channel and the Learning Channel have figured this out too ... and I'm so glad to see that, where especially today (well, over the past four years at least) the term is constantly being used derogatorily in a public sense.
