Nikolay Soltys, accused of killing six family members, is captured near his mother's home in Sacramento, California after evading local police and the FBI for 10 days.

SACRAMENTO, California -- Ukrainian immigrant Nikolay Soltys, suspected in the stabbing deaths of six family members during a rampage in California almost two weeks ago, is in custody, police said on Thursday.

"He has been arrested. We will be holding a news conference shortly," a spokeswoman at the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department said.

KCRA television in Sacramento quoted police as saying that Soltys, 27, was taken into custody at a home in Citrus House, a suburb of Sacramento, and may have been turned into authorities by family members.

Soltys has been on the FBI's Most Wanted List with a reward of some $120,000 on his head. He allegedly killed six family members, including his pregnant wife and 3-year-old son, during a rampage on Aug. 20.
