Greek treasure hunters digging for gold from the Ottoman empire found a bounty of another kind on Tuesday. Villagers from Fotolivos -- a small town in drought-hit northern Greece -- were using an old map to locate two tons of gold believed to have been buried by a fleeing Ottoman 100 years ago. But instead of gold, the two-day excavation yielded water -- and a much-needed well that will now serve the village. Rainfall in northern Greece, ravaged by months of drought and high temperatures, has dropped by more than a quarter in the past seven months compared to the same period last year.
