Word from Greece that Bill Charuchas, one of the countermen at Chicago's Billy Goat Tavern whose cry of "Cheezeborger, cheeseborger" was immortalized by John Belushi in a Saturday Night Live skit, died Oct. 23. Charuchas came to the United States from Greece in 1954, started working at the Billy Goat in 1964 and typically put in six- and seven-day weeks at the hamburger joint/newspaper hangout until he retired and returned to his native land last year.
