The French ambassador to Britain is in hot water after making a few choice remarks about Israel while attending a private party at the London home of the chairman of The Jerusalem Post's parent company. According to the Daily Telegraph, Daniel Bernard referred to Israel as "that shitty little country" and wondered "why should the world be in danger of World War III because of those people?" Bernard has kept a zipped lip since, but a spokesman denied that his boss made the comments, adding that what really bothers Bernard is that he might be mistaken for an anti-Semite.
