Subject: Tom Cruise Blasts Film 'Thieves'
I'm writing in response to the article, (Tom Cruise Blasts Film 'Thieves', Dec. 18, 2001). The fact that Tom Cruise would have the audacity to suggest that people downloading pirated movies from the Internet were a barrier to the film industry's success is sickening.
If he truly believes piracy is the real impedance to movies "paying for themselves", he need look no further than his next paycheck (which is rumored to be in excess of $20 Million!) for the real culprit. Tom, please count your blessings and keep your mouth shut.
