NEW YORK -- Vince Carter of the Toronto Raptors and Shaquille O´Neal of the Los Angeles Lakers held their leads in NBA All-Star balloting Tuesday. Carter tops all players with 920,020 votes. Boston´s Antoine Walker (301,153) overtook Orlando´s Grant Hill for second place among Eastern Conference forwards. Hill is out for the season with an ankle injury.
Philadelphia´s Dikembe Mutombo leads all Eastern Conference centers with 387,719 votes followed by Indiana´s Jermaine O´Neal (245,860).
Washington´s Michael Jordan (579,698) and Philadelphia´s Allen Iverson (549,727) are the leaders among Eastern Conference guards.
O´Neal tops all Western Conference players with 787,881 votes, with Sacramento´s Vlade Divac (158,808) second among Western centers.
The leaders at forward for the Western Conference are Minnesota´s Kevin Garnett (560,786) and San Antonio´s Tim Duncan (439,183). Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers (703,108) and Steve Francis of Houston (274,027) are the Western Conference leaders at guard.
The All-Star game is Feb. 10 in Philadelphia.
