A wary Ariel Sharon says he's willing to meet with Saudi officials publicly or privately to determine whether or not Crown Prince Abdullah's proposal for a Mideast peace agreement will fly. On the face of it, Israel's prime minister seems unlikely to embrace the plan, since it calls for Israel to surrender a lot of land -- including hotly contested east Jerusalem -- in exchange for peace with the entire Arab world. But Abdullah's proposal has plenty of supporters, both inside and outside of Israel, so Sharon will have to give it due consideration.
