We apologize for any inconvenience. Fred Rogers was a pioneer in educating children through his television program, Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood.

He’s no longer recording new episodes of the program — which are re-run on PBS — but insists he’s not retired.

Instead, he spends his time writing books for children and parents, working on his website, and sharing the neighborhood with others through a hands-on museum exhibit, among other activities.

Here he talks with Wired News reporter Katie Dean about the Internet, education and kids.
