Subject: Apple Ousts Coder for Being Young

I am writing to comment on your article "Apple Ousts Coder for Being Young," March 27, 2002. If you read the boy's summary of what happened, it'll become readily evident that Apple did indeed make an effort to include the youngster's revision.

In fact, they assigned him his own engineer to route his changes through. However, it seems that Dobbie didn't like this special treatment and chose to stop contributing.

Having the kid assigned an engineer on Apple's behalf shows that Apple bent over backward to try to include this youngster. Unfortunately, he doesn't realize it and neither does the media.
