The headline "F U Cn Rd Ths, So Can Translator," July 11, 2002, from your newsletter may have inadvertently offended some readers.
When the newsletter first arrived, I was wondering whatthe catch was. "F U Cn Rd Ths" can be interpreted in a number of ways. My first impression (also that of the majority of my co-workers) was that you really wanted us to read your most recent article (translated as F**kinRead This).
Unfortunately, a couple of co-workers also translated thearticle as F**k You Canadian Reading This. Although we understand that no offense is intended, we thought you should know.
