Subject: New Salvo in Piracy, Privacy War
I am writing in response to the article "New Salvo in Piracy, Privacy War," August 21, 2002.
This is cool. We're getting close to 1984. I didn't think I would live to see that book become a reality, but here we are.
It is chilling to see the American courts siding with the state (in the guise of private companies = contributions). I'm sure it won't be long until – just like the head offices of major American companies – major ISPs move servers offshore.
And – News Flash – peer to peer is not going away.
