The New York Times joins scores of other dailies when its Weddings announcement section becomes "Weddings/Celebrations" starting next month – reflecting its decision to publish formal gay and lesbian unions. The Washington Post, Chicago Tribune and San Francisco Chronicle are among the leading national dailies that already publish same-sex unions.
