Subject: Kazaa Taunts Record Biz: Catch Us

I am writing in response to the article " Kazaa Taunts Record Biz: Catch Us," September 25, 2002.

What it really boils down to is the fact that the record labels serve neither artists nor consumers and their interest – greed – is of no importance to anybody.

Kazaa is in the same boat. They don't really provide a service and don't deserve a profit.

What is needed is a new model to deliver music to the consumer that still pays the artist a fair amount.

As for Kazaa, I downloaded about 10 gigs of music last night without them or their intrusive software. I still have Kazaa on my system, but it is becoming very apparent that the good sites are elsewhere. Thank you for your time but, as for me, I'm enjoying Coltrane.
