Subject: Segway Hits City Roadblock
Hooray for San Francisco ("Segway Hits City Roadblock," Jan. 19, 2003). I don't see anything good about Segways and pedestrians sharing sidewalks, anywhere. I think they may be best suited for public officials such as police or postal workers.
I just can't see sidewalks full of Segways. And what about parking? What do you do with the damn thing once you get to where you want to go? Segway, Schmegway. I can think of better things to spend $4,600 on.
