Subject: Tech for Elders Must Have Purpose
Tech for elders must be kept simple ("Tech for Elders Must Have Purpose," Feb. 24, 2003). When going onto a website, there should be instructions on how to use that site. Every major site (AOL, MSN, Yahoo, etc....) should have on their home page a link that says, "How to use this site." I am an "elder" and I find (for the most part) the Internet highly confusing, full of technical jargon I do not know, and I find that what I want to know seems to take forever to find! Go back to the basics, please. The people who know the Internet (and how it works) won't mind a bit!!
