After reaching the end of the rally at the Pole of the Cold near the small village of Oymyakon, the team doubles-back for another night in Tomtor Village.

The "Road of Bones" is a 2000 kilometer-long road from Magadan to Yakutsk through the coldest parts of Siberia. Built by prisoners from the Stalin era, Tomtor Village sits at the half-way point along the route. Locals say that every meter of the road required one human life. No new roads have been built in Eastern Siberia since Stalin's rule.

Hours can go by without passing any sign of life in Siberia, but when travelers do pass a coal truck or logging vehicle, they are comforted in some sense.
